A Few Hours in Singapore
A long layover makes for some fun hours in Singapore.
Our flight from Dubai to Bali had us stopping over in Singapore for 7-8 hours.
So, Mony being the genius she is, found us a free day tour where we could leave our backpacks at the airport, jump on a bus with a guide, and check out several spots throughout the city.
Some of the highlights:
Orchid garden just sitting in the airport terminal. Gorgeous and smelled amazing.
Chinatown area.
The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and a bald guy.
One of the shops in the street market selling durians.
Awesome murals.
The Sultan Mosque.
Back at the airport, we also found they have a huge butterfly enclosure. The girls loved it. Check this out:
I’ve never heard of an airport having its own butterfly enclosure.
Watch where you step.
It was a quick stop in Singapore; but, if you’re going to be there for a few hours on layover, it’s worth checking out the free day-tour option there at the airport. Do you research ahead of time so you know where to sign up, etc.
Next stop: Indonesia…
